Growing up a “granola” girl in the Pacific Northwest who loved to tell stories sparked my passion for environmental reporting from a young age. When I came to college, I wanted to learn everything I possibly could about both topics. The solution seemed obvious: double majoring in journalism and biology.

This journey has taken me further in either direction than I ever thought I’d go, but it’s been the most rewarding experience of my life. I’ve opened my eyes to more storytelling media than my younger self could have imagined, and I hope never to stop discovering new ways of connecting with others.

Across platforms and topics, I’m privileged to do what I love and share the stories I learn.
